鑄鐵V型架主要用來安放軸、套筒、圓盤等圓形工件，以便找出中央線與劃出中央線。為了便于理解，我們可以看作V型架放好工件后，在不影響正常使用的情況下，V型架所能夠承受的壓力。
V型架按JB/T8047-95尺度制造，采用HT200材質(zhì)，成對(duì)供給，主要用于精密軸類零件的檢測、劃線、定儀及機(jī)械加工中的裝夾。
鑄鐵V型架的尺寸相互表面間的平行度，垂直度誤差在0.01毫米之內(nèi)，V型鐵V型槽的中央線必須在v型架的對(duì)稱平面內(nèi)并與底面平行，同心度，平行度的誤差也在0.01毫米之內(nèi)，V型槽半角誤差在±30~±1范圍內(nèi)。一般鑄鐵V型架都是一副兩塊，兩塊的平面與V型槽都是在一次安裝中磨出的。好比：2000mm×4000mm的V型架可以放置重量為64噸的工件，這樣V型架的承載，我們可以根據(jù)V型架的技術(shù)要求本著以最低的本錢達(dá)到最好的設(shè)計(jì)效果。鑄鐵V型架的承載要求：鑄鐵V型架的承載是指V型架單位面積承受的重量后，V型架的變形撓度。
